North Korea is one of the poorest countries in the world, but its leader Kim Jong Un has still found the money he needs to finance a nuclear weapons program, despite the country’s fundamental poverty and international economic sanctions.

This documentary looks at how, and introduces the men who have helped Kim Jong Un keep his dreams of reaching nuclear power status alive. North Korea has not reined in its nuclear program, despite a number of UN resolutions that have tried to force it to do so. So how has the isolated country kept the program going despite sanctions? Every year Pyongyang sends millions of North Korean workers abroad, selling their services to over 40 countries around the world. And their salaries flow directly into Kim’s treasury. The only ones who know exactly how the system works are the men who have helped the North Korean government carry through the program for years. A film team spent years researching these men and their secrets – from bankers and diplomats to the laborers and specialists who worked abroad and whose wages flowed into the regime’s coffers. Come and meet all the dictator’s men.

  1. IF YOU LIVE HERE IN AMERICA YOU CAN HAVE MANSION, YEAH YOU ONLY WORK FOR KIM JONG UN. YOUR CAN EARN MORE THAN 50, 000.00 DOLLARS A MONTH. SOME OF YOUR LABOR WORKER WORK ONLY FOR THEIR ONLY DAY OF LIVING.

  7. having a museum exhibit of a tipical north korean household with real north koreans in it seems like something the north should do about south korea, it's savage to have it. South Korea is no better than its northern brother in this aspect.

  9. 29:10 electroshocked by his mentor, then started to talk about how crisises affect construction in europe

  10. What are those people doing on their phones in the beginning? The government doesn't let them have internet. They look just like Americans on their phones, though.

  11. This video has been up now for over a year. Does anyone know if Mr. Michael Kim is still alive? I mean you people just ousted him to North Korea.

  12. Wonder to what extent this whole network goes to. I’m pretty sure it goes into not only hacking and blackmailing and slavery, but also prostitution and sex work. There have been reports of Pakistani women marrying Chinese men and then being forced into prostitution. I wonder if it’s the same for North Korean women, whether they’re coerced and being sex trafficked to funnel money to the regime. I wouldn’t be surprised.
