A brief review of the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet from 2008. This was the third in a series of internet appliances developed my Nokia in the mid to late-2000s (the Nokia 770 and N800 preceded it). It featured a 400MHz TI OMAP (ARM) processor, 128 MB of RAM, 256 MB+2 GB of Flash, a MiniSD card slot, 802.11bg WiFi, Bluetooth, a VGA webcam, touchscreen, backlit keyboard, and GNU/Linux (Maemo). It was quite slow and quickly superseded by more advanced smartphones. In addition, the shutdown of Maemo repositories has made it difficult or impossible to install software, at least since 2013, when I purchased my N810.

The slide-out keyboards from around this time were way to small for big fingers! Some people really do miss hardware keyboards however.
I have one of these and the later N900.
